Family Folio is designed to keep family recipe content under your control.
Family Folio keeps recipe titles, ingredients, instructions, notes, folders, and gallery photos or scans on your device. Normal-size images retain their original representation; the app may reduce very large images for reliable storage.
When you use iCloud, Apple CloudKit stores and syncs this content in your private and shared iCloud databases. Family Folio has no developer-run recipe account or recipe-content server.
You can choose to share a named folder or one recipe with people you invite through Apple's private iCloud sharing controls. Invitees may view or edit shared recipe content, including gallery images, according to the permission you select.
A share owner can remove participants or stop sharing. Family Folio cannot recall copies that someone has already exported or saved.
When you export a recipe as PDF or text, Family Folio creates the document on your device and presents the system share sheet. You choose where it goes. Once shared, that copy is controlled by the destination and its recipient.
Family Folio contains no advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics. It does not send recipe content to remote AI, OCR, or translation services, and it does not automatically send recipe content or diagnostics to the developer.
A deleted recipe remains in Recently Deleted until you restore it or choose Delete Permanently. Permanent deletion removes that recipe and its source pages from the app on the device and can propagate through iCloud. Removing the app does not by itself guarantee that iCloud data is deleted, and Apple may retain data under its own policies.
Email hello@fmnobar.com for support. Your email provider and the services used to receive the message may process the contact details and content you choose to send. Support messages are used to respond to you and handle the issue. Please include recipe text or photos only when needed and when you choose to share them.
This website is separate from the Family Folio app. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as an IP address, location, or system configuration, to deliver and protect the site. Visiting this page does not give the site access to your Family Folio recipe content. See the hosting provider's privacy notice.
